Yes, Halloween 2006! I hope you didn’t get shot or stabbed this weekend – cause I came about as close to a stabbing as I ever care to… Soooo, Zoé and I were set to hit the Scream Rave at the Polish Hall. We had our $50 tickets, our costumes all set to go and we eventually made our way to the Hall around 2am... We get there and there is a HUGE line-up. People at the front have been waiting near 3 hours to get in. We get in line and see close to 5 Police Cruisers and an Ambulance. Then the music from inside stops and we hear rumors through the line that someone was stabbed inside. Long story short, some Dude got stabbed in the bathroom and after about 30 minutes in line the Cops come out and tell everyone that the Party is over because this has now become a homicide investigation!

Well F**k! What are we going to do now?? We eventually hooked up with some Friends who made it into Scream before it was shut down and headed to the Y along with a whole lot of pissed off Ravers who are out of $50 thanks to the crack promotion team that put together a rave with shit poor security (I only say shit poor because I know for a fact that they were NOT searching every person who got inside. If that’s not asking for an incident then the promoters need to lay off the Vitamins and wake up to what the Edmonton “scene” has been becoming)
