These two girls were just brilliant - their placards said "I HATE ALBERTA BEEF - I LOVE ALBERTA COWS" and "GO VEGGIE NOW!". Excellent.

The couple in the foreground said "Are you filming this on your phone?!" and I told 'em I was just taking pictures because Alberta astounds me sometimes. The guy said it was the only place he knew where something like this would happen, that it's the richest province in Canada, that it's full of cows and oil, and that we're so rich our women don't need to work. You just KNOW he's going to run out of sarcasm by around 4pm...

Yikes. I had to read that sign twice cause I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating or not.

I say good for them... now everybody off to the BBQ!

Morpheus auta get his head checked. Last time I checked, Albertans work more hours than most people in the US per capita.
We may be a rich province, but alot of our tax dollars are being consumed by the rich politicians in Ottowa and by a select few who own most of the oil and gas industry. When you look at who owns those industries, you may notice that a good percentage of them are "AMERICAN OWNED".

As for the no-beef sentiment by the vegitarians, they gotta find a job. Alot of farmers went belly up as a result of Bush's imbargo over Alberta Beef. Even after a panel of the trade commision has deemed no reason to ban the trade and demanded that the ban be lifted. US government can do what ever they wish without any reasoning behind thier actions. They still try to brainwash the public by providing false or blown out of proportion reasoning behind alot of thier policy changes.
