What is the Edmonton Moblog Community?
It's a weblog of photos taken by Edmontonians with their camera-phone & digital cameras sent via MMS or email to this website.

You too can share your day with us as it happens... for free! Next time you're chillin' with your buds, out shopping and you spot a nice butt, or witnessing your ex freaking out infront of you, whip out your cam and snap a pic. We all want to see what you have to share. And did I mention it's free!

How do I send a picture from my phone?
Send your picture as an attachment in an email or MMS to yournickname.password[AT]seeshare.com
For example, if your nickname is dude and your password is chocolate you would send to dude.chocolate[AT]seeshare.com
*Note* The subject line of your MMS/email will be the title of your pic. If left blank it'll be displayed as "...".

Can I only use a camera phone to send pics?
No of course not! You can send pictures from your home computer taken with a digital camera if you want. You can send any photo from anyplace. Just attach any JPEG image to an email and send it to your special email address (yournickname.password[AT]seeshare.com).

Is this all for free?
Yes. Sharing pictures on SeeShare.com is 100% free. There is no charge to you from us but your phone company is a totally different story. :P
(Check with your mobile provider for any additional charges you may incur from sending MMS or emails.)

I don't want my pictures made public. Can I only allow friends and family to see them?
Yes. After you've logged in see the Preferences menu and check "Make yourself a private user." and you will not be listed anywhere on our site.

I've sent a picture but I don't see it on the site. What happened?
There are several reasons for what the problem might be:
First, sometimes during peek hours, the delivery of email can become delayed, wait a few hours before you start to panic. If your pic still hasn't arrived after half a day, it's probably never going to arrive... so let's isolate the problem.
A) Make sure the pic you sent was in JPEG format (this is the standard format most phones and cameras use but check to make sure).
B) Check that you sent the pic to the correct address (yournickname.password[AT]seeshare.com).
C) If you're using Hotmail, try attaching your pictures using 'Attach >> File' and not 'Attach >> Pictures'.
D) If you're using Bell -- you can not send pictures from your phone to SeeShare. Their network sends camera phone images in the format of webpage, which at this time I do not know how to extract the pictures from. Sorry.
E) If the last four points were okay, then send me an email (mech[AT]seeshare[DOT]com) and I'll personally investigate the problem.

How do I link to my moblog?
Very simple: http://yournickname.seeshare.com
For example, if your nick is dude then your moblog address would be http://dude.seeshare.com

I sent a large pic and it shows up smaller on this site. Why?
For size reasons, esthetic reasons and consistent view ability any picture with a width larger then 800px is resized to 800px.

I attached multiple pics in the MMS/email I sent so how come only 1 got posted?
Our multi-picture function can be a little sketchy and depends on how pictures are attached. Unfortunately you'll have to resend the lost photos 1 per MMS/email.

Can I edit or delete photos and text after I've sent them?
Yes but only for the first 36 hours after you originally sent it. Log in and click on 'Manage Collection'.
